In our well-equipped workshop, we offer you 'one stop' servicing and repairs, as we do work not only on the 'living quarters' but also on the 'van'. Over many years we have built up a vast fund of knowledge about the inner secrets of these vehicles, especially Citroëns and Romahomes.
Your motorhome should ideally have an annual "Habitation Safety Check", this includes a Gas and electrics check we are able to do this work for you. The SMMT recommends you have the all sorts of things checked in addition to the gas and electrics, such as the cupboard catches, bed operation, curtain drawing and window opening etc! We tend to leave those things for you to check and let us know if you want anything fixed, we find it difficult to justify charging for those tasks you can do yourself. Please remember to book your vehicle well in advance as we're normally 6 to 8 weeks booked in advance.
When you book your motorhome in for work, we have a Free Service Loan Car, (currently a new Berlingo Multispace) so you can go shopping or sight-seeing in the Bristol area while your vehicle is being worked on.

This Euro4 lean burn engine needs minimal servicing on an annual basis, while we'd advise an oil and filter change annually the fuel and air filter could be changed less frequently ( 25000 miles for the air filter, 40000 miles for the fuel filter). The timing belt has a 10 year/150000 mile life, ( if you're brave enough!).
Most annual service costs would be relatively low with trhe odd big service when all filters and by that stage front brakes would need doing.
Habitation safety checks are the same as all other Romahomes.
The Berlingo 1.9 and 2.0 Hdi require very similar servicing. The older pre 2003 models are happy with semi-synthetic oil ( we use "Total" Quartz 7000), the later version we always use fully synthetic ( "Total" Quartz 9000). The 1.9 needs servicing annually or at 10000 intervals and the 2.0hdi annually or at 12500 intervals. we recommend annual servicing regardless of miles done, indeed its better to go over the mileage interval than the time. We stock and only use Citroen approved parts for all our servicing.
Timing belts need changing at 80000 mls or 8 years ( 8 years is a long time for a rubber band!)
Kept in good quality vital fluids these engines will go on for ever.
The Citroen C15 should be serviced at least every 10000 miles ( very early models every 6000 miles), this normally means once a year. If you manage to use your C15 enough in the year to do 10000 miles we suggest a full service with all filters changed would give you trouble free motoring. If you only manage a fraction of the miles then an oil and filter change annually and the other filters biannually would be fine. The most important parts to service on the C15 are the brakes, they will need cleaning and adjusting every year.
We can also service and gas test the habitation area at the same time.
We also take your vehicle for its MOT when required.
Timing belts every 70000 miles or 7 years, don't risk pushing your luck!

The SMMT created a Habitation check for Motorhomes many years ago, Its' guide lines suggests the dealer should not only check the gas and electric ( 240 and 12 volt)instalations but also the bed make up, the windows, curtains and blinds, cupboard doors and many other things that the customers are more than capable of doing themselves. We only do the things that you can't do like checking the gas system for leaks, correct flame structure and Flame failure devices. The mains for correct polarity and earth leakage. The 12volt system for charging and battery condition. Why pay for work that you could do yourself?
